Separation and divorce are difficult and painful realities for couples, their children, those who know and love them, and the wider community.
Our hope is that everyone who is impacted by separation or divorce would know the abundant love of God and would find resources and support to bring about peace, healing, and wholeness.
We are happy to share the following resources with you and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to the resources most needed.
USCCB Resource Guide
The USCCB created an excellent Resource Guide listing resources, programs, and organizations related to marriage and family life. Please click on the link to review the many resources listed there for topics such as wounded marriages, addiction, pornography, domestic abuse, separation, divorce, single-parent families and more: USCCB - Called to the Joy of Love.
Support for Troubled Marriages
If efforts have not yet been made to save the marriage, there are many successful programs that have helped couples navigate difficulties including addictions, infidelity, and separation.
- Program operating in our Archdiocese: Rediscovery/Retrouvaille is a lifeline of hope and healing for struggling marriages. It is a three-phase program that begins with a weekend experience, followed by post-weekend presentations, and monthly small group support meetings. It is a Catholic peer ministry of couples helping couples with the support of caring clergy members. The primary focus is on improving communication and building a stronger marriage, so couples may rediscover the love they have for each other.
